おはようございます！春が近づいて来ていますね。次のJOMO JETイベントに来ると春本番が楽しめます！

今度のイベントでは4月の海外の祝日「イースター」と「アースデイ」をJOMO　JETのメンバーと一緒にお祝いしましょう！
今までのアースデイイベントはリサイクル工作・雑貨作りでしたが、今年は新しいイベントを開催します！
高崎公園周辺で、アースデイのイベントとしてゴミ拾いに、イースターのイベントとしてイースターエッグ・ハント（子ども向きのゲーム）に参加してみませんか?
最後に皆様の持ってきたお弁当を一緒に食べましょう！

■日時：4月22日（土）10:30～12:30
（受付：10:15～）
■場所：高崎公園
（群馬県高崎市宮元町144）
■参加費：無料（事前申し込みが必要です）
■締め切り：4月20日（木）、正午
■定員：20名　定員になり次第締め切ります。（キャンセル待ち可）
＊15 歳未満の参加者は保護者の同伴が必要となります。
■持ち物：お弁当、レジャーシート、ゴミ拾い用手袋

Good morning!  Spring is on its way.  At JOMO JET’s next event, you can fully enjoy the spring!

Our next event celebrates the April holidays of Easter and Earth Day.  Come celebrate with us!
Up to now, our Earth Day event has been recycled crafts but, this year, we have made a new event!
For Earth Day we will pick up trash and for Easter we will have an Easter egg hunt (a children’s game), in and around Takasaki Park.
When we are finished, we will all eat bento together!  Why don’t you join us?

■Date & Time: Saturday, April 22, 10:30-12:30
(registration from 10:15)
■Location: Takasaki Park
(144 Miyamoto-cho, Takasaki)
■Cost: Free (prior registration is required)
■Deadline: Thursday, April 20, 12pm
■Capacity limit: 20 people (registration will close when capacity is reached, but a waiting list option is available)
＊Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent.
■Bring: Lunch, a tarp/something to sit on, and gloves for trash collecting
■Registration: Please tell us your (1) name, (2) age, and (3) telephone number via telephone or email.

Thank You! 2016 International Carnival ＊2016国際カーニバル＊

The 4th Annual International Carnival was held on Sunday, November 27th at the Takasaki Minami Elementary school gymnasium. As this year’s main event, in addition to our JOMO JET members, there were 39 volunteers that helped from beginning to end. Participants were able to enjoy learning about different countries and cultures through posters, booths, demonstrations, and performances.

11月27日（日）に、高崎市立南小学校の体育館で「第4回2016国際カーニバル」を開催しました。毎年国際カーニバルはJOMO JETのメインイベントになっているから、JOMO JETのメンバー以外に、39人のボランティアが最初から、最後まで頑張って手伝ってくれました。参加者はポスター、体験、パフォーマンスなどを通して、色々な国や文化について楽しんで学べました。

This year we had more booths than we’ve ever had before! These booths represented Australia, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Nepal, Germany, Punjabi in Canada, African American Culture, Spectrum, and Western Boy & Girl music groups. With many unique things to learn and try, these booths were some of the best yet!

今年はブースを全部で１０個もあったので、今までの国際カーニバルの中で、ブースの数が一番多かったです！今回はオーストラリア、インドネシア、ブルガリア、ネパール、ドイツ、カナダにあるプンジャブの文化、アフリカ系アメリカ人文化、Spectrum、そして西洋のアイドルについてのブースがありました。色々な事を学べたり、試してみたりすることができて、今年のブースがとても面白かったです！

There were also fun carnival activities such as face painting, bucket toss, and a country flag coloring quiz for all to enjoy!

誰も楽しめるフェイスペイント、玉入れ、国旗の色塗りクイズなどのカーニバルゲームのブースもありました！

This year’s performances included exciting musical acts, traditional dances, interactive games, competitions, and more.

今年は音楽の演奏、伝統的な踊り、ゲーム等の色々な素晴らしいパフォーマンスがありました。

As we do every year, at the end of the event, all the remaining participants and volunteers joined in on a big dance, run by the African American culture booth representatives. This year, we did a new dance called “The Cupid Shuffle!”

イベントの最後に、アフリカ系アメリカ人文化のブースのボランティアたちにアメリカで人気のダンスを教えてもらい、参加者、ボランティア、そしてJOMO JETメンバー全員で踊りました。でも今年、「チャチャスライド」の代わりに「キューピッドシャッフル」という新しいダンスを踊りました。

11月27日（日）に第四回「2016 International Carnival～国際カーニバル」を開催します！

ALT （外国語指導助手）やCIR（国際交流員）と話をしながら外国のお祭りゲームをやったり 、世界の国々について学んだりして、楽しい時間を過ごしましょう。英語初心者の方も大歓迎です！

  • 日時：11月27日（日）、13:00 – 16:00
  • 場所：高崎市立南小学校　体育館 （群馬県高崎市八島町70-1）
  • 参加費：無料 （申し込みは不要です。当日直接会場にお越し下さい。）
    ＊小学生以下の参加者は保護者の同伴が必要となります。
