On January 20th, JOMO JET co-hosted Kiryu Board Game Night with the Kiryu International Exchange Association at the lovely Kiryu Shimin Bunkakaikan.

１月２０日に、JOMO JETは桐生市国際交流協会とともに桐生ボードゲームナイトを共催しました。素敵な桐生市市民文化会館の中で行いました。

As always, there was great fun to be had. We had a great time playing board games with the locals, and we think they did as well.

今回もすごく楽しいイベントとなりました。JOMO JETメンバーは地元の人とボードゲームを楽しみましたし、彼らも楽しんでいたでしょう。

Unfortunately, there was a sudden snow storm right before the event started! While Kiryu looked beautiful in its coat of snow, many people were unable to attend because of the weather. It’s a shame that they couldn’t join us, but because of the lower number of participants we were able to connect better on a one-on-one level compared to the average board game night.

残念なことに、イベントの直前に急に吹雪になってしまいました！桐生の雪景色は綺麗でしたが、雪で来場できなかった人もいました。ですが、人数が少なかったため今回はいつもよりも一対一といった感じでうまく交流できました。

皆さん、こんにちは！
来年度の初めてのJOMO　JETイベントは桐生ボードゲームナイトになります！今年は桐生市国際交流協会と共催で開催いたします！
世界で人気がある英語のボードゲームなどで遊びましょう。ALTなどと英語で会話をしながら、駒を動かしたり、カードなどで遊んだりして、楽しい時間を過ごしましょう。英語初心者の方も大歓迎です。群馬のボードゲームナイトで一緒に遊びましょう！
■共催団体：桐生市国際交流協会
■日時：1月20日（金）、19:00-21:00
■場所：桐生市市民文化会館　第一会議研修室
（群馬県桐生市織姫町2-5）
■参加費：無料（事前申し込みが必要です）
■締め切り：１月18日（水）、正午
■定員：15名　定員になり次第締め切ります（キャンセル待ち可）
＊15 歳未満の参加者は保護者の同伴が必要となります
＊桐生市国際交流協会でも募集しております

JOMO JET’s first event of the new year will be Kiryu Board Game Night!  This year’s BGN will be held in conjunction with Kiryu International Exchange Association!
Come join JOMO JET members and volunteer ALTs as we play games and chat!

■Co-hosting organization: Kiryu International Exchange Association
■Date & Time: Friday, November 4th, 19:00-21:00 (Registration from 18:45)
■Venue: Kiryu Shimin Bunkakaikan  #1 Kaigi Kenshuu Room
(2-5 Orihime-cho, Kiryu)
■Cost: Free (prior registration is required)
■Deadline: Wednesday, January 18th, 12pm
■Capacity limit: 15 people (waiting list option)
*Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent.
*Kiryu International Exchange Association is also recruiting.  Please contact them for details.

1月22日(金)にJOMO JETは桐生市西公民館にて桐生ボードゲームナイトを開催いたしました。雪の中、初めての方を含む多くの参加者の皆様にお越しいただき、一緒に楽しい時間を過ごしました。

JOMO JETのメンバーのお気に入りのボードゲームである「インカの黄金」やかわいい「ウミガメの島」と一緒に、より英語中心のゲームの「英語のジェンガ」などをプレイしました。

そして今回は「ピクトマニア」という新しいボードゲームをデビューしました。創造性と芸術的なスキルが試される非常に楽しいボードゲームです。絵は得意ではなくても楽しめます！；）次回は一緒にプレイしませんか？

On Friday, January 22nd, JOMO JET held its Board Game Night at the Kiryu West Community Hall. Despite the snowy weather, many people as well as first time participants came and enjoyed a night of fun.

We played JOMO JET favorites, like Incan Gold and the adorable Mahe, as well as some English focused games like English Jenga.

We also introduced an exciting new game, Pictomania! It’s a fun game that challenges your creativity and artistic skills! And if you can’t draw well, you can still enjoy it! 😉
