9月06日（金）に渋川ボードゲームナイトを開催します！

世界で人気がある英語のボードゲームなどを遊びましょう。英語で会話をしながら、駒を動かしたり、カードなどで遊びながら、楽しい時間を過ごしましょう。英語初心者の方も大歓迎です。群馬のボードゲームナイトで一緒に遊びましょう！

場所：渋川公民館　視聴覚室　（渋川市石原6番地1）
参加費：無料（事前申し込みが必要です）
締め切り：09月06日（金）16:00まで
定員：20名　定員になり次第締め切ります。（＊15歳未満の参加者は保護者の同伴が必要となります。）

今回読んだイソップ寓話について、自分の考えと意見を皆と話そう！今月のEnglish Media Circleは：

The Fox and the Crab (pg. 75)
The Hare and the Tortoise (or the Tortoise and the Hare) (pg. 96)
The Crow and the Pitcher (pg. 34)
The North Wind and the Sun (pg.109)

話し合いを始めるために、皆さんにいくつか質問をしたいと思います：

1)「寓話」とは何でしょうか？
2) 今月の寓話の共通点は何でしょうか？
3) 一番気に入った寓話はどれでしたか？なぜですか？
4) この寓話は昔のものですが、今でも寓話のアドバイスは良いものだと思いますか？
5) 寓話のアドバイスと同じようなことわざを知っていますか？（例：英語では、「酢より蜂蜜を使う方がたくさんの蝿がつかまる」というThe North Wind and the Sun のアドバイスと意味が似ていることわざがあります。）

ぜひこの質問の答えをコメントとして書いて，他の自分の考えもコメントに書いて下さい。また、質問がある人はぜひそれもコメントとして残して下さい！

Here are some questions to get the discussion started:

1) What is a fable?
2) What was similar about the fables?
3) Which was your favorite fable? Why did you like it?
4) These fables are very old. Do you think their advice is still helpful?

On July 5, about 30 people gathered for JOMO JET’s Isesaki Board Game Night. For this Board Game Night, we chose an American and Canadian theme to celebrate the birthdays of the two countries (July 4th and July 1st respectively).

Independence Day for America is to celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain. Canada Day celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act, 1867, which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire.

For our American and Canadian-themed Board Game Night, we introduced America’s classic treat of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches and enjoyed Coca-Cola. For Canada, we shared maple cookies and Canada Dry ginger ale.

7月5日には約30人が集まり、伊勢崎ボードゲームナイトが行われました。今回はアメリカとカナダの誕生日（7月4日の独立記念日と7月1日のカナダの日）を祝うため、アメリカとカナダをテーマとしました。

アメリカの独立記念日は1776年の7月4日にアメリカ独立宣言がされ、英国から独立したことを祝う日です。カナダの日は1867年の7月1日に英領北アメリカ法により、3つの領土が一つの国になったことを祝う日です。

今回のボードゲームナイトではアメリカでは定番のピーナッツバターとジャムのサンドイッチとコカコーラ、そしてカナダで定番のメープルクッキーとジンジャーエールを提供しました。

参加していただいた方にお礼を申し上げたいと思います。どうもありがとうございました！また次のイベントで皆さんと会えるのを楽しみに待っています。
