JOMO JET is a group of JET Programme participants in Gunma that aims to contribute to the internationalization of Gunma, to foster international exchange, and to promote the JET Programme within Gunma through planning local outreach events. JOMO JET とは群馬県内のJETプログラム（語学指導等を行う外国青年招致事業の略称）参加者　（ALT：外国語指導助手）が、学校や職場での職務以外で、地域との国際交流を行うために、自ら企画した事業を実施している団体です。

Thank you! * TIRS x JOMO JET Craft Collab *

夏の間、JOMO JETは高崎国際交流協会（TIRS）と協力して、ジュニアインターナショナルクラブとのクラフトパーティーを行いました。生徒38人がフレンドシップブレスレット（ミサンガ）という伝統的な手芸作品やネイティブアメリカンの伝統工芸品であるドリームキャッチャーを私たちと一緒に作りました。

Over the summer JOMO JET joined forces with the Takasaki International Relations Society for a craft party with the Junior International Club. Thirty-eight students came out to try their hand with us at making friendship bracelets, a craft classic, and dream catchers, a traditional Native American craft.

子供たちが私たちの説明をよく聞いて、クラフトを頑張って作ることができました。

The kids patiently listened to our instructions and worked hard at their creations.

初めてこのクラフトを作るJOMO JETメンバーにとってはとてもよい勉強になりました。ジュニアインターナショナルクラブの皆さんはとても協力的で、すばらしいクラフトを作ることができました！参加させてくれて大変ありがとうございました！

For JOMO JET members who were new to these crafts, we learned along with the students. The Junior International Club were great sports and creative crafters! Thank you TIRS for letting us join in the fun!

5月のボードゲームナイトは沼田市でした。参加者、ボランティアも、 来てくれた皆さん、ありがとうございます！ とても楽し時間を過ごしました！皆さんの帽子は面白かった！

On Saturday, May 11th, JOMO JET held a great Board Game Night in Numata at Numata Chuo Community Center. We had a wonderful time! We had everyone wear crazy hats and it was interesting to see what everyone wore. Thank you to all the participants who came and the volunteers who helped out!

今回のボードゲームは ディクシット・オデッセイ、 スプーンズ 、 ジェンガ、ヘッドバンズの ウィー、ゴーストブリッツ全部で６つでした。

We played many interesting games – Super Rhino, Spoons, Jenga, Headbanz, Ghost Blitz, and Dixit Odessey.

It was fun interacting with everyone and organizing this event in Numata. We are looking forward to the next time we will be hosting an event in Numata!

Eigo de Cooking

JOMO JET will once again co-host an English cooking class with the Maebashi International Association. Under the English instruction of our cooking leaders and the help of other JOMO JET members, we will cook and eat an American-style meal together. There is a fee to attend this event, but it will be a lot of fun, so please join us!

  • Max. Participants: 12 (Participants under age 15 must be accompanied by a guardian)

    (Optional: Mask, container to take leftovers home, slippers)
    *The cooking classroom has slippers, but they are a bit small. Please bring your own slippers if needed.
