今年、１１月２８日から１２月６日の間、「ハヌカ」というユダヤ教の祝祭があります。「光の祭り」とも呼ばれており、ユダヤ人の家庭は「メノラ」という燭台にロウソクを８本立てて、毎晩１本ずつ増やして灯をともします。それに、伝統的な「ドライデル」というコマでゲームをし、プレゼントの交換も楽しみます。
今度の水曜日、１１月２４日開催の「第２１回e会話」で、メノラの明かりで英語を学びましょう！
語学のレベルを問わずどなたでも参加しやすい環境を心がけていますので、興味のある方はぜひご参加ください！

1．18歳未満の方は参加不可となります。
2. マイク、カメラを使用できるパソコンで、「Discord」アプリが使える端末が必要です。

4. インターネット環境はWi-Fi等の通信環境が良い場所での参加をお願いします。
5. 通信費用、光熱費等、当イベントにかかる一切の費用は参加者の自己負担になります。

e-Kaiwa #21: Chag Urim Sameach! (11/24)
The Jewish holiday Hanukkah, also called the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated this year from November 28th to December 6th. During this celebration, many Jewish households set up a candelabra called a menorah and light a new candle each night. Families and friends also enjoy playing with a traditional top called a dreidel and exchange presents.
Grab some latkes and schlep on over to the next e-Kaiwa on Wednesday, November 24th! We’d love to see your punim, and you can invite the whole mishpocha! You’ll be plotzing with so much new Japanese by the time it’s over that your Bubbe will be kvelling. It’s a great opportunity to schmooze and even to kvetch, so don’t be a schmendrick—come on by! You’ll feel verklempt if you miss it!
JOMO JET and GJEE will team up again to host this super simple online language exchange event. Groups of two English speakers and two Japanese speakers talk for 30 minutes in English and for 30 minutes in Japanese. Anyone can join regardless of language level, so we hope to see you there!
