３月２４日（水）オンライン和英言語交流「第１０回e会話」開催のお知らせ！(English below!)

3月17日は海外で盛大なフェスティバルとなるセント・パトリック・デー（聖パトリックの祝日）です。アイルランドから蛇を追い出したという聖人聖パトリックの命日であり、世界中でアイルランドの伝統文化を祝うイベントになっています。

人々はアイルランドを象徴する緑色の洋服を着たり、緑色のビールを飲んだり、大規模なパレードを見に行きます。また、アイルランド系移民の多いシカゴでは、シカゴ川を緑色に染め上げる光景が見られます。

ちなみにアイルランドでは、第1公用語は英語ではなくアイルランド語と規定されていますが、日常的に使われているのがほとんど英語なので、「第１０回e会話」で学んだ英語を活かせば、聖パトリックの祝日を十分楽しめるはずです。

地域の外国人と日本人と一緒に英語と日本語でフリートークをし、語学力を高めながら様々な友だちを作りましょう！

語学のレベルを問わずどなたでも参加しやすい環境を心がけていますので、興味のある方はぜひご参加ください！

1．参加にあたって未成年の方は保護者の同意が必要です。未成年の方が参加された場合は、保護者の同意が得られているものとみなします。また、高校以下の生徒及び児童は参加不可となります。

3. マイク、カメラを使用できるパソコンで、「Discord」アプリが使える端末が必要です。

4. Discordアプリは事前にインストールをお願いします。すでにインストールしている方は、最新版に更新してください。

e-Kaiwa #10: Nemesis (3/24)

In many countries around the world, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17. The holiday was originally established to honor the life of St. Patrick of Ireland, who is said to have driven all the snakes out of Ireland (there are still no wild snakes in Ireland to this day). People dress up in green clothes, drink green beer, watch parades, and celebrate the culture of Ireland.

Did you know that the first official language of Ireland is actually Irish? Unfortunately, it does not appear that there are any Irish language exchanges available in Gunma at this time, but until then, you can learn Japanese instead at our next e-Kaiwa on March 24th!

JOMO JET and GJEE will team up again to host this super simple online language exchange event. Groups of two English speakers and two Japanese speakers talk for 30 minutes in English and for 30 minutes in Japanese. Anyone can join regardless of language level, so we hope to see you there!

Individuals under 18 years of age who register for this event are understood to have obtained the permission of their parent or legal guardian. Furthermore, students enrolled in elementary, junior high, or high school may not attend.

2. Anyone under the age of 13 cannot use Discord per their Terms of Service.

3. In order to participate in this event, a computer with a microphone and camera and capable of running Discord is required.

4. Please install Discord in advance of the event and make sure it’s updated to the latest version. (https://discord.com).

5. Please ensure that you have a stable internet connection before participating in this event.

6. Data fees, lighting, electricity, and all other expenses incurred through participation in this event are the sole responsibility of the participant.

7. The applicant understands and agrees to bear full responsibility for any problems or technical issues that may occur when installing Discord, accessing any of the game websites, or any other problem that occurs as a result of participating in this event, and furthermore consents that the event hosts shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for what occurs.
