Unfortunately, due to the spread of COVID-19 and the ongoing pandemic, we weren’t able to host any in-person events for a few months. However, on June 19, we were able to host the very first JOMO JET eBoard Game Night! Although it was a bit smaller than our usual board game events, everyone was able to enjoy online games, language exchange, and cultural exchange all from the safety of our homes.
Throughout the night, participants were able to play games such as Apples to Apples, Scattegories, Skribblio, and Kodenames.
Most games were played in English, but we even had some chances to play games in Japanese!
JOMO JET is constantly thinking of new ways to host events during these difficult times, so hopefully we’ll have something exciting for you in the near future!

Due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, JOMO JET has unfortunately had to suspend operations since February. However, because we miss doing fun events with everyone so much, we have been working ever since then to come up with social distancing-friendly events that will allow the diverse community of Gunma to connect with one another and learn about each other’s culture from the safety of our own homes. Thus, we are excited to announce the first-ever JOMO JET eBoard Game Night! Enjoy playing four new online games while chatting with fellow players in English and Japanese using Discord (all free)! This is our first time hosting such an event, so we will only be able to accept a small number of participants this time, but we are planning to expand the scale of this event in the future. We hope to see you at this historic and momentous brand-new JOMO JET online event! (Please make sure to read the notes below before applying!)
